VISION

We strive to contribute to the building of an inclusive society for the wellbeing of the community.

MISSION

Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society (FID), a mental health advocate and social service provider, adopts the community counselling approach. We provide holistic, customised and humanised mental health programs and services for individual, family and the communities in need.

OUR JOURNEY

In 1999, FID was set up by a group of ‘Diploma in Counselling’ graduates that identified with the therapeutic value of counselling. Since 2004, FID is registered with National Council of Social Services (NCSS) as a Volunteer Welfare Organisation (VWO). Since its inception, FID has been collaborating with various social services organisations. Its members work tirelessly to provide pro bono counselling services; services such as face-to-face counselling for individuals, families, and group counselling. FID also organises talks, lectures, and workshops related about family life and mental health. In the past two decades, many FID members continued to enhance their knowledge and skills in different modalities of counselling. Increasingly, more members have graduated with Master’s Degree and even Doctorate Degrees of Counselling.
