Testimonials

First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society (FID). I was privileged to meet a wonderful Dr. Zhang. Dr. Zhang is the President of the FID.

After receiving counselling from Dr. Zhang, I was able to overcome the difficulties within the shortest time in the first time, and I was able to overcome psychological problems such as anxiety and fear. In addition to enlightening me carefully and patiently, Dr. Zhang also taught me many skills to overcome emotional obstacles.

Thank you Dr. Zhang for lending a helping hand to me. I will always keep this beautiful memory in my mind.

I hope that when you face difficulties, you can bring up the courage and strength to seek help from professional counsellors, and continue to face challenges from all sides.

Thank you again, Dr. Zhang!

Sincerely, Miss Li

Before I attended counselling session, I was in a confused mood and had no goal in life at all. After attended counselling sessions for several months, I gradually understood that there was a reason of why things happen the way it was. Now, I am able to reflect and understand myself better, I am more aware of self-worth.

Thank you for your patience and support, my dear counsellor Ms E.

I am grateful to have met Counsellor Ms E, who has been helping me to cope with the sudden loss of my father and the high level of distress I have been experiencing while caring for my grandmother.

Ms E is empathic, understanding, patient, kind and never judgmental. I enjoy the hours I have spent working with her as each session empowers me to think through many thoughts that made me feel extremely stuck and hopeless. I am in a better mental state to process my emotions and cope with the pain of losing my father.

I would recommend Emily and Friends- in-Deed Counselling Society to anyone who might need a helping hand to get through life’s challenges.

During the epidemic, I worked at home while taking care of my children and supervising their studies. This arrangement made me feel stressed, irritable and anxious.

By chance, I was fortunate enough to meet the president of the Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society. President Chang was very kind and responsible. Knowing my difficulties, she quickly referred me to a counsellor.

I chatted with the counsellor many times. She was very patient. I felt very good after each session. The counsellor also taught me communicative skills and techniques to getting along better with my children and my husband. The counsellor is very professional and very enthusiastic. She introduced me to a free online course, which was very helpful to me!

Thank you President Chang and Counsellor for the love ❤️! I am grateful for the helps you extended to me. Wishing that we will all be able to overcome our difficult times and fulfilling our life’s subject and bringing the best of ourselves.

In this past year, I experienced trauma, the kind that pierces the heart; the silent intrusive pain that never seems to go away.

By chance, I came across the helpline of Friends-In-Deed Society in a social media, and I took the initiative to contact them to arrange an appointment for counselling.

In the course of counselling, my partner voluntarily join me in the therapy and agreed to have one-to-one individual therapy. Under the guidance of the senior counsellor, I learned to overcome pain, and to explore our marital relationship and problems that existed for more than ten years. Counselling has seemingly helped me to face the issues.

The process of counselling led me to reflect and helped me see matters from various perspectives to understand myself better. Counselling has helped me face seemingly intolerable mental stress with calmness.

When you encounter challenging problems in life, give yourself an opportunity to have an open mind, seek counselling, and let the counsellor partner you through your recovery. Bravo!

In my life’s journey, I gradually walked into a dark alley. I can't see a trace of hope. The thought of suicide, triggered by the unbearable pain in life, flashed from time to time, pushing me to face the choice of life or death.

At my darkest moment, I contacted the counsellor of the Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society. The first interview brought a ray of hope, my anxiety and depression were relieved. In the following counseling process, the counsellor listened patiently, provided professional guidance and advice, and let me know that I was not alone.

Now I have found the key to solve the problem.

Thanks to the counsellor of Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society for accompanying me out of the trough of life.
